Not spinorama though, that's what the people want. Easy to make a speaker linear on axis, not so much off, people want to see the entire picture of the speaker and frankly that's kind of what is expected anymore especially for the the price bracket you guys are working in.

As a guy who designs his own speakers, I'm kinda surprised sending your stuff to someone with a klippel wasn't a huge priority for you guys. It would make your lives so much easier in terms of filter development. At this point I'm sure you've become quite aware of how tough it can be to get accurate data.

When we're ready to take them for a spin on the Klippel, we will. The MUM-10 might happen sooner rather than later, but no urgent rush. We have all the data we need.

Looking forward, but IMO should be part of the design phase, not an afterthought.

Given they are running flat out to deliver the orders they have. And given from what I can see the 10 launch has gotten them another potential couple of hundred orders. I would imagine they have more than enough on their plate as it is. More custom is not always the answer when it comes to scaling a small company. Many a small company has stumbled and fallen at this exact moment by trying to grow to quickly.

It appears to me that custom is the least of their worries right now. It's two people. Working really fucking hard. And seemingly making a lot of customers very happy.

The only 'negativity' I see anywhere on their product is on this forum and from people who have not heard the speakers and yet have deeply strong and aggressive opinions about not only a speaker they have never heard but a company and people they have had no dealings with other than to badger them for measurements and then bitch, cry and moan about it when they are not showered with exactly what they want when they demand it.

Deeply childish, entitled and sad.

This forums attitude is well known. And quite frankly stinks.

It is as cult like as any religion.

We're really happy with how these have turned out, and yes, again the Klippel/spin thing is even more likely with these ones as they're our best performing model. What it HAS done, in designing the 10, is given us a wealth of information on how we can go back and improve the MUM-6 and MUM-8 with free DSP upgrades to our userbase.

Welcome to ASR, I've been following your adventure on YouTube. You saw a need and filled it. Many ASR readers are familiar with a reading a specific set of Klippel tests. To me, the graphs you presented look impressive.

This forums “attitude” is about science. It is even in the name what does not work here is talking about a product like it is the greatest thing ever, and not backing it up by extensive scientific material. Have you even seen the videos these guys make? They insult brand after brand after brand with how inferior they are to their speakers, and yet they have nothing to show for it except anecdotal “evidence”. I have seen almost every video made about these speakers - even back to when they where just 3 drivers centered on a baffle - anyone with the slightest knowledge about baffle design could see it would be a disaster. Which was frankly evidence of how rookie the whole process was.

Taking 3 super high end drivers with inherently low distortion, and making them measure with a flat FR on axis is not good speaker design. Actually it will say surprisingly little about how a speaker sounds. This is why a full spinorama should be used to develop any modern speaker, and we know for a fact that is not the case here. Everytime it is asked for there is a new excuse why it hasn’t happened. Look at the discord, look at the comments on their youtube videos. A lot of people have asked for extensive measurements, and everytime it is dodged with new fluffy sales words.

This forums members approach is scientific, not acknowledging empty words and marketing, and you are here defending a manufacturer that refuses to back up their claims with science, and you are acting extremely childish about it. I hope you can see how absurd it is. I would love for these guys to succeed in making a killer speaker at a killer price - but the apparent refusal of science based design is off putting.

As I've said in every post so far on various forums, and this shall be my last as it's like talking to a brick wall - as we know that forums are nothing but negative - every customer who has our speakers is happy and achieving better mix results than ever before. I am not going to bend over backwards to make people on forums happy. We have what we need, and we work with it. If I were getting 9 refunds a week, I'd be concerned.

There are no excuses, we just don't have spinorama data. (Not that any paying customer has ever asked for it). I understand speaker design is science. What goes on behind closed doors here doesn't have to be shared on forums.

We measure at 1/48. I was merely asked what the smoothing of the graph I presented was, and my words were then taken as something completely else. It is simply not interesting information to see a 1/6 smoothed FR. Frankly a single on axis FR in itself is not interesting at all, even at 1/48. Says almost nothing about a speakers performance. So again, no one is inaccurately interpreting your information, because there really isn’t any - why engage in a scientific audio forum, when you have nothing scientific to present…

There are so many competent people here, including people with a Klippel NFS who can measure your speaker for the price of the shipping. So another approach could be to actually get some solid information about your speakers, instead of trying to convince people that your existing customers not sending the speakers back, is all the info one should need.
