getting it properly done before actually selling it and not needing to change it later is even better
Correct. However our advancements in measurement have significantly grown in the last 2 years to the point where the MUM-10 is the best measuring monitor so far. It makes sense to update the old models - but that's not to say there's anything wrong with them. I have never had a complaint of bad performance with the MUM-8, and every customer we have is exceptionally happy. I'd agree with your statement, but all you have to do is look through our
reviews page and you can see the number of customers loving the MUM-8.
Bear in mind we are a two-person company designing everything on relatively miniscule budgets - as you said - learning, too. But we now have a great team of very experienced folk aiding us along the way when needed, which now is reflected in the MUM-10 being the best measuring model so far.
Most important is the customers, though. ALL of them are loving their monitors, so regardless of what the original MUM-8 SOS measurements showed, that is not reflective of how our customers perceive them. Nevertheless, surely going back to fix an issue, perceivable or not, is better than leaving it forever, no?
I don’t think we will ever see that. I have tried to engage in dialog with them about spinorama wince they announced the firdt speaker, but it mostly seems like they are winging it and learning-by-doing, and are not really interested in science based speaker design.
When we're ready to take them for a spin on the Klippel, we will. The MUM-10 might happen sooner rather than later, but no urgent rush. We have all the data we need.
