Greetings all,

I'm interested in getting into some multichannel music mixes, but I'm having some trouble finding where to start. Streaming services, e.g. Tidal, seem very persnickity about their Atmos mixes and there doesn't seem to be any good way for me to get access without buying some gear I otherwise have no use for. If there is a way to get Atmos out of a streaming service from my PC or PS5, please let me know.

So what I'm looking for is a good source/list for DVD/Bluray releases of albums with multichannel. I'm particularly interested in soundtrack or classical music, but I'm open to any good music like this (besides the aforementioned, I'm also into electronic/dance, rock, and alternative). Also, if anyone has any favorites they have for multichannel audio, please do give it shout out here!

I buy multich discs from a variety of places....Amazon, Discogs, Acoustic Sounds, Elusive Disc, some others....takes some hunting sometimes especially older releases.

Same for me : I buy multichannel discs (SA-CDs, DVD-As, audio-only DVD-Vs and DTS CDs) online on Discogs, Amazon, CDJapan, Rakuten, HMV, Presto, JPC, Acoustic Sounds, and also FNAC and smaller French or European online shops and, of course, E-bay when available.

Discs are easy to spot and they do work.

Apple music is your best bet for discovering new music in Dolby Atmos. I think over 20% of new releases are in Atmos. However a fraction make it to physical media unfortunately.

second the Apple Music suggestion. I enjoy finding new and old Atmos mixes. Pink Floyd - Animals was a pleasant surprise.

Did you take the plunge on a Atmos system? What are you running?

Check my signature. All R3 for the bed and R8a for heights. Using an Apple TV

Nice! I think it’s pretty rare still to find people with a full system. I find DA quite promising even from lowly streaming.

Deutsche Grammophon stage+ has a library and stream live from concerts in Dolby Atmos
