if i output surround 5.1 movie sound to dac via arc input ,then output stereo 2.0 to rca input of av reciever
can receiver do bass mangement with .1 subwoofer and front speaker?

ARC is 2.0 stereo PCM - there is no inherent bass or front speaker information in that signal.
Some amps and AVRs can filter bass from that signal to output on a "sub" or "LFE" channel - many people with stereo amps run one or more sub from the sub-out (if present) or form the pre-out (and let the sub determine the XO frequency).
Some AVRs may be able to create a virtual front speaker output from 2.0 stereo data.

My av receiver hook up a front speaker and a sub for 80hz cut off signal from front speaker

If i play stereo 2.0 audio on receiver, the front and sub speaker will work together right?

What are the actual components in use here? What model TV? DAC?

Wait, are we talking the MRX740 and Eversolo A8 mentioned in your other threads?

Modern AVR does crossovers in digital domain. Which means, that it have to digitize analog inputs and use internal DAC for subwoofer and fronts. Using external DAC with AVR is technically worst than provide digital signal directly.

That's the exact thing OP needs to read.
