@3eaudio I really like the idea of a single box pushing good power to 6/8 channels

but need / want to power if from a DC source (say large LI battery bank).

Any voltage is OK, but prefer to stay under 65V.

Any suggestions besides a SW inverter?
i will suggest you take our DIY amp kit to do that.

Why a battery bank? Are you planning to use it in an RV?

We're waiting ;)

Quick thoughts

The unit is easily the smallest 8 channel Amp I have ever seen.

The banana plugs have a satisfying click to them. Also means that you have to use plugs and can’t run bare wire as far as I can see. I personally love using banana plugs but I am sure some people might not be happy about that decision. 8 pairs of banana plugs are included with the unit, please see the attached picture.

The tiny green Plastic tab to remove the plastic on the front plate is useless and ripped right off without removing the plastic.

The LEDs aren’t obnoxiously bright but all the LEDs seem to be lit up even though I am only running 4 channels currently.

Infrared thermometer shows the case to be warm to touch at 40.3 degrees after I guess it remained on all night.

Sound wise it seems brilliant. I cannot tell the difference between this and the Stereo A7 while powering my Ascilab C8B and Philharmonic BMR V2 Monitors. Admittedly I do not have golden ears. I seem to be able to raise the volume to hearing loss levels without issue. I also can’t tell any audible difference between this and the Buckeye 3 channel Purifi(2nd Gen) amp that’s used in my Home theater setup downstairs. This amp is being paired with my Marantz Cinema 60 as the processor.

If anyone needs more pictures, just let me know. IMO this is a pretty great deal considering the competition and how relatively small the unit is.

if using Auto mode, you don’t need to use the front power button. It will bypass the auto setting and power all the channel.

There is an Auto and 12V trigger but Auto doesn’t seem to be working as far as I can tell since the unit seems to remain on with LEDs also on. The Auto mode in my A7 Stereo Amp works very well but doesn’t seem to be the case here. Nothing in the manual indicating that I should be enabling it manually outside of the dip switch. @3eaudio

any chance of getting the idle wattage & the power off/standby wattage?
thanks

wait did you say that it stays on (at idle) without a 12V trigger signal?
could it be as simple as powering it off via the front switch (where theoretically it should draw under 1 watt??) and then the 12V would activate it as expected.
In other words the front power switch is the manual on over-ride

Yes, let me hook up smart switch and test it via home assistant.

Yup, auto mode doesn’t seem to be doing anything currently but I will try what the manufacturer recommended and try setting it to low gain and test again.

Sorry could you clarify? Use Low gain instead of High gain? I will try that and report back.
I think for the auto/12v function to work, you should just enable power with the switch AC inlet on the back and not use the front standby button.

The logic behind the standby button seems to override the auto/12v trigger.

AHHH! That worked OMG. I feel so stupid.

Well with that figured out I think it’s a pretty stellar product. The branding can easily be covered up if it bothers you.

i will suggest you take our DIY amp kit to do that.
Please link to purchase sources good for US buyers. Total channel count is 7 FR +3-4 subs. Strongest power / current with PFFB is important.

Can PSUs (DC converters) be shared or does each amp board need to be individually fed power by an isolated source?

Best source would be directly from China probably - so 3E Audio's AliExpress store

3E AUDIO 260-2-29A PFFB Stereo
3E AUDIO 480-1-29A PFFB Mono

Yes you should be able to share one sufficiently powerful PSU between multiple of these boards.

@3eaudio Are the 25X amps available through Amazon.de? If I write "ALSOZONE" in the search bar, I cannot find them.

Are you planning to ship to Switzerland? Are you selling through Audiophonics?

Thanks for the photos!

Could you open the chassis and take some photos, including of the power supply?
