Hi Amigoes

We are preparing to build a multi-channel amp. Wanna know which model is more popular for users? If you are interested, please help us get your vote.
  • Leverage A5(TPA3251),A7(TPA3255) PFFB design with built-in GaN Power supply
  • Pure-Amplifier without volume control, configurable multi-channel as 2/3/4/6/7/8 into 2 enclosures.
  • Support both 12V Trigger IN and Auto On/Off (User selectable)

Just a detail not shown at the rendering, a high-count channel, high power amp would probably need either two IEC C14 or a single IEC C20 one.

Or a 230V country ;)
Even here for higher count.
8 channels x 450W/2 Ohm/1% THD+N = 3600W ( I guess fans will be used, thermals are enormous for TPA3255 at 2 Ohm)

I doubt it will ever be needed but is the principle.

are the new design amps based on two (or more) TPA chips like the A5/A7 ?

For 3600W you need a special IEC connector with a little notch. It also comes with a beefier cable. You see these usually in table grills and similar products.

Trinnov uses a single C20 for the 8-channel, about 500W/4 Ohm one, just enough probably, it does not specify 2 Ohm for the Hypex it contains though.
They probably think "music", as usual:

@3eaudio cost estimate and availability on the PAM152 ?
also, is it going to have one TPA3251 per channel like the A5?

@3eaudio
This is already Excellent news..... Congratulations and best wished for this new product.
I won't even guess than 9 out of 10 would use it with AVR/processor pre-out for home theatre, and probably most important factor here would be higher power even if noise/distortion is a bit higher.
It looks like PAM25x are TPA3255 based while PAM15x are TPA3251 based - is it correct?

My best opinion says TPA3255 would be better choice for HT use out of both.

Could be interesting if you had actual specs for all your proposed models with at least prototypes let alone production models....

Build a multichannel Amp that has Power Like the A7 mono for a L/R Stereo pair, and maybe Same for the Center, and for 2 or 4 sourround Speakers Power Like the A5. So 5 or 7 channels Minimum or optional in different Versions.

But now @WiiM Team need to build a Wiim Ultra for 5.1 or better 7.2 Surround System with Dolby, so a AVR preamp Streamer with room correction to a fair wiim price. Not existing on the Market yet or?

The forum software did a remarkably bad job at (not) notifying me about being tagged, but I finally found this thread. :)

All PMA15x and PMA25x amps do support loads down to 2 Ω and the power almost doubles from 8 Ω to 4 Ω. This is only possible with dual TPA325x chips. (Edit: for each two channels.)

I think the thumb up you received from @3eaudio confirms this. :D

honestly the thumbs up only confused me. is that a yes? no? "thanks for your question" ? much easier to reply "yes".

This is Amazing ! i was looking at getting a few A7s for multichannel but did not want the complexity and wished for a multi channel version so this is Pefect !

Considering that some people have a good stereo amplifier, a 5-channel option would be nice and welcome. It's a pity you didn't think of that.

You're probably right, but the fact sheet is clear (if you know the specs of the TPA chips).

Since we are dealing with Multi-Channel amps I should have been a little more precise:
Support for and full power down to 2 ohms requires one TPA325x chip per channel.
=>
PAMx52: 2 TPA chips
PAMx53: 3 TPA chips
PAMx54: 4 TPA chips
PAMx56: 6 TPA chips
... and so on.
