I am getting ready to move from this Sonos setup to my dream 2.1 system. I am mainly going to be using it for music while I work. I am not sure if I should treat the room first or at the same time as the install.

I am also not sure what mount if any that I should use? I considered stand mounts for the ground but I would like a desk mount option for my sit stand desk. Lastly, is there a recommended installer that will do everything for me and tune it for my room?

The reality is that the more quality time I can spend in that chair the easier it is to justify the cost if that makes sense? I know to get the room correction software and is there anything else I am missing?

The Genelec L-stands are quite nice for desktop use as they leave usable desktop real estate below the monitors. They’re not adjustable for height but for angle. I’ve them for them for my desktop and they’re great.

You should also get the GLM Kit for room EQ (for Windows and macOS) and with that software it's very easy and quick to change between two (or more) calibrations: Sitting and standing.
