I checked Canadian retailers and there are none available.

Maybe it uses AKM A/Ds. (The factory fire)
The box states ESS sabre which may just be the D/As?

I saw that one. US shipping rate kills the deal. Local price, when available, is around $AU429($US330 at the moment).

Tascam US2x2HR is a new product seems like a great alternative if you don't care about the headphone out (high output impedance so it only works well with high-Z headphones like the HD650/6XX etc.). The pre's seem to be better than the Motu

I was going to say B&H and Markertek have them in stock and I believe ship worldwide. But shipping cost might definitely kill it.

When I used BH and put in the different parts of Australia, it was only like $30 though for shipping and like $30 for duties and tax so like $280 USD total.

I had it ordered mine back in Oct. 2020 and it arrived in about one full month. The next batch had 12 to 15 weeks delay, so you need to find a dealer able to let you know the ETA prior to giving the order.
