New here, could someone give me reviews or recommendations for an audio interface?
My budget is somewhat limited and I have in mind to buy: motu 2, Ssl 2 mk2 or Topping pro e2x2.
I want to use them to make electronic music and I need to monitor with my ath-m40x headphones, shp9500, and Zero:RED.
Occasionally, I would use them for streaming with a Shure SM58.

I can only give you feedback for the output sound. People may hate me but I could not care less. I've had SSL 2 and still own Motu 2 and Topping, also few others. None of them sound the same... but the differences are small. When I say digital/artificial I mean digital sounds more precise, detailed and analog simpler/middier/slightly "rounder".

Digital/artificial side:
Motu 2 tight/fast, clear, slightly scooped/thin
Topping boosted low end, recessed bass, smooth top end, cello-like sound, not punchy except low mids

Kind of middle ground:
Scarlett Focusrite 2i2 gen4 - recessed mids (gen1 was similar), quite 3d and quite tight
Audient id14 MK2 - middier/tighter than Focusrite 2i2, slightly simpler sounding

Analog/simple side:
SSL 2 bright, simple, analog
Apogee Boom warm, thick mids, punchy

I have not decided myself which to keep, but for electronic music I would recommend going to digital/artificial side, Motu M2.
Some people will quote Julian Krause and show flat measurements, I recommend trying Motu M2 and Apogee Boom at the same time and returning one of them, IMHO they represent 2 different styles. If you dont hear difference then any of them will be fine :P
