Most beautiful speakers in the world ?

As might be expected, this thread tends to merge with the "ugliest speakers" one :D
Thus, I don't feel that embarrassed submitting my latest and only DIY shot at it (with huge help from a woodworker friend), on the measuring bench :

I like the view of these old Klangfilm Bionor KL-L433. They were the european big theater speaker equivalents for the Altec Lansing VOTT systems in their time (1953 till the early 1960's), made by Siemens. They were amped with 20w tube amps and had a passive crossover. I heared one and they do sound very good for such old speaker systems, and go very loud. But collectors pay crazy prices for them now (25K for a set in good condition is a "normal price" today) and need a lot of space to work right (made for movie theaters).

wow, looking back at this thread, some of the speakers posted in this thread, you could not pay me enough to put them into my house (even if they sounded amazing).

I actually thought I clicked into the wrong thread.
Interesting isn't it?

So after seeing this we know we can't trust each other's view of beauty. What makes us think we should trust each other's view on what sounds good?

A set? So I'd need to find space for *two* of these ?! ;)

Euphony is in the ear of the listener?

I'll tell you a dirty little audiophile secret, feel free to try this at home : when the purchase of those was at the project stage, I used to spend time with my significant other googling "ugly expensive speakers" images and showing her the most horrendous results, as in asking for her advice - when I finally came home with the big MTMs, they were greeted with a sigh of relief and sincere appreciation :D

JBL C44 Paragon
Ever see one in person? I have seen several. Every time I see one I am surprised by how big the beast is. These things are simply massive!

Agreed though, it is one fine piece of gear and would look great in my mid-century "dream" system along with these...
