I imagine some art critics looking at these.

Scene: An art gallery. Two critics, dressed in turtlenecks and with glasses and pointy goatees, are standing by the piece.

- A snowflake!
- No, dear boy, clearly soap bubbles!
- Ah, of course, how could I miss the bubbles - but they are at the surface of pond scum, not a kitchen sink!
- What was the artist really trying to convey? That sound is pure as snow - or that it needs a soapy cleansing.?

Something like 135.000 euro.

Interesting coax driver. Own design I think.
Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder! That statement is so very true. The only thing that matters is if you like them and they sound good.

Saw these in the window of the hifi shop in HK that's on King's Road near Tin Hau. Anyone know the place I'm talking about?

They weren't set up for demos.

I really like the idea of a huge spherical speaker but these stands are atrocious, something simple like just the central column with a three-pronged base would look much better. Or just three separate legs.

The most beautiful speaker stand would be a small flame under a steam-powered generator that would power my speakers but also run best when only burning $100 bills.

The JBL shouts "I ain't here to look purdy; I'm here to play fuh baw!".
I like the looks of them. Probably choose them over any other speakers here, cosmetically speaking. And, I've heard the K2 S9900s in the JBL theatre room. Spectacular!

I'm a big fan of the Revel Salon2 sound, too. But I don't think they look as cool as horns.

I've liked every Cabasse 'speaker I've heard, and Christophe Cabasse is a lovely bloke. That stand is a 3-D representation of the company logo so isn't just an 'artistic' statement, and has a story behind it.
