What are some options for nearfields or bookshelfs costing under 1000 a pair?

The only ones I've seen that actually look beautiful are the Philharmonic True Minis, but they're sold out in the US and not available at all in Europe.

Thanks. But I think the only ones that look special out of these are the Cantons, the Piegas and maybe the Buchardt Audio P300.

Would be nice if more manufactures released speakers in bold colors like red, blue, orange etc. High gloss finish is cool too.

I'm thinking of picking up a pair of the newer Canton Ventos (21 or 31). Just not a lot of reviews out there and I have no way of testing them unfortunately.

The Heco and the Magnats really do look the part. Judging from the photos, the fit and finish appear to be excellent. Cabinet workmanship and overall build quality look surprisingly refined for the price.

KEF Reference 205/2 were released in 2007 and now seem to cost around $3200 on the 2nd hand market.

IMO this speaker cabinet is visually boring, pointless and tedious compared to a 1950s car.

IMO KEF’s best looking speaker line to date. (And back then they had the basic sense to include grilles?)

SGR CX4F active speakers. The current generation all have analogue active crossovers, but I believe the next generation will have DSP crossovers. Everything is designed and manufactured in-house, except for the drivers which are manufactured in another facility in Melbourne - Lorantz Audio.
