Alto’s look a lot like Ascilab with wood veneer.
Not at all a bad price. They’re active, use expensive Purifi drivers, N-core amps and the designer knows a thing or two.
And they are a simple and elegant design.
That in itself seems to be rare now. Thumbs up from me.
Actually that’s about 8 grand in English moneys. Twice as much as March Audios offering and twice as much as the Clarity 6.2.
Say a good pre amp is a grand so that’s £9000.
The Ascilabs, Clarity’s and March Audio will need a good pre/power or integrated which can run high.
Much better looking than both imo. But perhaps not £2000 better
But if I didn’t cry at losing the cash, I’d pay it for the better looks.
