Agreed on the aesthetic of 'oak', the hard wood equivalent of 'knotty pine' wood.

I dunno but...

Given the prices asked for large, 'high-end' free-standing, loudspeakers, I wonder if a competent loudspeaker designer might be able to find the venture capital required to invest in commercial 3-D printing equipment for the enclosures and a Klippel Near Field Scanner to create performant options for wealthy clients willing to compromise 'slightly' on the overall measured performance for the luxury of owning an aesthetic with a production run of 'one'.

Speculate the designer had a shower thought about the + shape.

What if it was mounted that way purposefully because it is so low? I mean let's just state the obvious, it will have narrow horizontal but wide vertical dispersion.

Umm... that woman, standing... her ears aren't even at level with the Midrange. So where exactly is the sweet spot for that Tweeter? Or how far away and how far off axis do you need to be for it all to come together?
