In the '80s I felt that way about walnut... that lasted until the last decade or so when everything 70's is hip again.Blech.

I survived in the 90s in which Cherrywood was everywhere and on everything.
All I can think of is the 90s when I see Cherrywood.

I don't think there's such a thing as ugly wood per se. It always depends on how it's treated and finished. You can also stain cherry or oak in different shades if you like.I presume that given the general age of this forum we’ve all been suitably scarred by oak wood in the 70s

When we moved into our house in the mid 90s the first room renovated was the kitchen . The interior decorator convinced us to go with cherry-wood looking wood (beach wood I think or something). Over the years we renovated different rooms. And our taste has changed. And now I absolutely abhor the wood cabinets in our kitchen.

Is this guy advertising a watch? I can't judge for myself, I don't wear wristwatches since 1980 and don't know anything about them.
