Most beautiful speakers in the world ?

Some of the graphics on their webpage looked familier and now i know why their speakers are mostly Big holes :oops:
 
So how do they make those Aries Cerat speakers? Do they pour some kind of marble effect epoxy into a mould? It looks like it might be more than that, there might be a machining step after they cast all that resin. Epoxy is not cheap, and to cast that much epoxy it would take them months!

I am not an expert on woods, burl of some kind ?

I remember the audio file junkie has done videos on that speaker before including talks with the designer and that front baffle is not wood. It’s some other material. I don’t know if it’s actually metal But I think it’s some sort of thick resin.
 
The square (diamond?) "Aurora" speakers supposedly use a machined aluminum baffle, per their sales literature, so I'm guessing the colors are just paint:

"The complete 45cm + 15cm solid aluminum end flare horn is assembled as a stacked ply construction, and milled on our 5-axis station, making the whole geometry possible as a production item to the required standards. The horn walls are not less than 10cm thick at any point, and the end aluminum section has 5cm thick walls, resulting in a true resonant free construction."

Considering the off-axis limits of horns and the large driver spacings I would be surprised if their larger speakers don't really sound good unless you are at least a good 15-20 feet from them, at which point room reflections would be a real problem to be managed compared to the source signal. Better have a really big mansion.

Damn, well there is a big part of the price just there....
 
It can absolutely be resonance free within its frequency range.
But it does not sound as good as resonance free.
Well yes, but as an engineer who specialised in dynamics for many decades this type of bollox from HiFi companies pisses me off ;)
Plus within the frequency range of what? That part of the horn or the whole loudspeaker?
