Most beautiful speakers in the world ?

Not a pig in the initial instance, so not the expression you were looking for.

I imagine you can buy them whatever day of the year you like. There are five new Atelier editions: I pictured the black Shadow and polychromatic Mirage some way upthread and @Pearljam5000 just posted the woody Monarch and gaudy Zenith, there's also a metal-only Titan. And if that's not quite what you were looking for, you can do bespoke. For a princely sum no doubt.

Ok there's an Alchemy edition as well. I like the bronze mesh covers, but not the gold plating.

Well, the originals are not to my taste either. I am aware they are state of the art in many ways, just not a fan of the appearance, especially compared to the 50s or the 28s.

The Joseph Crowe horn speakers were getting a lot of love at the recent Montreal audio show, both in terms of aesthetics and sound:

I would have loved to hear them for myself.
Claims are they had very little horn colouration.

The compression horn seems to be an Onken MS-200 Wood (Replica ?). I've heard lots of compression driver fans saying it's the best horn ever made, don't know if there are any measurments available :
I've heard lots of horn enthusiasts say and honestly believe all kinds of things. ;)

Not sure about the Onken MS-200 wooden horns, but the ones in the photo above are based on the Alttec 1505 multicellular horns.

Yes, if that's what you meant I can follow the logic. I do also like those two (the opening motion in each case is also fun) and several earlier models.

Still love the look and tiger ebony finish of my Thiel 2.7s, especially catching a bit of sun:

I've been an enthusiast of horn loaded speakers for many decades.
IMHO, the problem often becomes with the cult getting too wrapped up in the esthetics and just the whole idea of using the "old school" technology.
It closely related to tube amp lovers getting carried away with ridiculous 5 watt SET designs that measure terribly and sound even worse.
Not to mention having a reversed price = sound quality curve where the more the cost the less Hi Fi they become.
Sad
