Most beautiful speakers in the world ?

Well, it’s as close to a scientific fact as anything that Black Ash finishes should be verboten in any room that hopes to maintain a sense of taste or refinement.

Friends don’t let friends buy anything in black ash.

I believe this speaker has been cited before, but here’s a bit of video.

What do people think? Tidal Bugatti:

Hilarious.

What about black oak? :p

If you like art, that can make sound....

Well, since Oak is among the most despicable of wood finishes even before throwing black stain on it, I’m sure it goes in the same category
Hey!!!
Don't you be bad-mouthing all oak and for all other uses other than audio.
My whole house is based on all oak furniture but none are black. ;)

Hmmmz. I used to have everything in oak. I loved the blonde oak and the floors where light colored wood and the environment seemed very natural and healthy for me for years. I have seen a fair amount of wood finishes on special order speakers and in a wood work shop. I wonder in that if you dislike oak then what is your preferred wood and in a dark or light finish?

Oak is boring in comparison to many other beautiful, more exotic veneers. Good durability for a floor but I don't want speakers that look like standard oak flooring. My most recent was African tiger wood. A deep redish orange that has a dramatic yet beautiful appearence.

I find the modern fashion for shiny (or matt) black speakers very boring and dull.
imo; Antiseptic and sterile. Yet, black may mate well within a modern/industrial-themed decor, that has a large BLACK TV in center-stage. nimby.

I had bought my original Vandersteen2c speakers, simply because my cheapskate-nature had felt that I was getting more performance and less woodwork for my money.:)

Really?

I’m not a fan of black speakers either.

Though having said that one of the best decor choices I ever made was this:

When we first moved into our house the only room available for my two channel listening was what would ostensibly be the living room which was at the front of our house. It was one of those rooms that people normally do up as a living room, but which people end up not really using, because they do most of the living with the family in the back family room and the kitchen. But we still wanted it to look nice, even though I was going to be having ulcers of different loudspeakers passing through that room.

So the choice we made was to do the room in Browns and black (e.g. brown sitting chairs with black trim, black sofa with brown cushions, cream coloured carpet with brown and black trim, etc. I did this because most loudspeakers were some combination of brown and black.

And it worked out really well. Just about every loudspeaker I placed in that room blended in perfectly with the colour scheme of the room.
