A lot of speaker for the money.
Interesting visual kink in the design.

I quite like the looks of these:

Walthen 'Inertia Cube'. Designed as a bridge monitor, I think there are matching 10'' and 12'' subwoofer options.

Also they use a version of the Heil AMT tweeter which I've always had a bit of a thing about, although not for any definitive reason.

Hand made in the USA by Wathen Audiophile (DiY) - 9" cube.
But for $2,950.00, not worth, except the idea...

I don't know about the value/sound quality equation, but if I was putting a studio together I'd quite fancy installing them just on the looks alone.

I like that the styling is a bit 1970s, but classy '70s rather than ugly '70s.

I have some other monitors on the bridge too though.

I feel like this speaker has been shared before, but without it's name and manufacturer. Other speakers by Oswald Mills Audio have been shared in the past, but I like this one. It was made for an exhibit at the Guggenheim even, so it's called the Museum. Described as a 4-way system with a plate amp running one of the two 15" woofers and an efficiency of 100 dB, it can be driven by a 300B SET amp. No mention of price but pehaps 50~100k USD based on their other products.

For those who like a bit of video, here’s an older video from Jay (Jay’s iyagi channel), with some nice video overview of the design of the Sonus faber Maxima Amator.

I know the speaker has shown up earlier in the thread, but it’s kind of cool to get some video close-ups of the craftsmanship of the speaker. Even at the rear of the speaker the window view of the crossover is pretty cool:

Video of the build quality starts around 6:40.

mining the history of Genelecs for new inspiration Pearljam? Those look like something they might have built 20 years ago. :)
The inspiration may have gone the other way round.
At 65 years old, Geithain is the older of the two companies, while Genelec is 47 years old.
I really appreciate Geithain's technology and acoustic innovation, but the design is generally not my cup of tea.

Am I the only one who hates the look of tripod stands?
They always look like a disaster waiting to happen to me, and I don't like the look. Plus I associate them with people thinking the 3 point thing will somehow sound better than 4 points, when it won't.

Better and easier.
Ikea bowls are available all over the world. :)
If not Ikea bowls, there are all kinds of bowls.
