Most beautiful speakers in the world ?

For that money I would expect a much more elaborate speaker design, especially the stand that looks so - plain.

One man's plain is another man's minimalist. :)

I've always though that the Contour 20 and 20i are some of Dynaudio's most handsome speakers.

Absolutely true and definitely not unattractive speakers by any means.

But than apart from appearances, I find these and similar stands somewhat unsafe and not really well thought through.

Hitting one of the corners with your foot could cause some trauma that could also be a fracture depending on the force of impact. Absolutely unnecessary risk one would need to deal with - especially after parting with some serious coin.

If you can manage to navigate a path between a few tables and chairs, I don't see why you can't avoid a speaker.

How much are you drinking? :p

And what are they doing in the middle of the room?
We can't see sound, so speakers should not be visible. They should be positioned against the wall. ;)

Not nearly as much as I probably should - and obviously not enough to disregard details that are actually quite important ;).

Even agains the wall you would have people (think kids) passing near them

However you twist it - it is an obvious safety issue and IMO design flaw. Two examples of better approach with rounded edges. Some people actually gave some thought to it as rounding the edges does not necessarily come easy.

I’ll stick with my Monoliths, thanks. :)

On the topic of unseen speakers...
I have a pair of somewhat bulky speakers (boxes) that I find quite nice, but my wife does not. They have all the drivers and the flat bass-reflex port facing forward. One day, I decided to turn the boxes up-firing, with the top side facing the room. The ceiling is about 2m away from the baffle of those boxes. The sound changed, and for the better. She placed some decorative items—vases, etc.—to cover the part of the boxes facing us. The music was present, but the speaker boxes were not.
