Most beautiful speakers in the world ?

ogi Tone -original.jpg

The original OgiTone. Specific Japanese style
A shallow box with open back. 4mm thick painted polystyrene disc on string suspension (spider) as in the 2nd image here. The middle eye is of different colour. No patent available, as usually with the Japanese.

I will always be a sucker for a slim, raked back floor standing speaker with a high-quality exotic wood finish.

The QLN Prestige 5 speakers (grabbed from the web):

Marten Design - Django XL

(someone selling...I often prefer pics that are taken by regular folks and not the professional photographers working for marketing departments)

What about just a sloped front baffle?

These are one of my favourite speaker designs:

If it is just slightly tilted I like them, although the ones you show here would be already too much for me.

Tidal makes probably the most beautiful tilted speakers
Not for me, Italian design knows often how to not exaggerate and even do optical tricks like having horizontal lines to make it look even more elegant:

(This is a Sonus Faber Aida in case someone is interested)

Looking at all those massive architectural objects, with only a few tiny speakers emitting sound from them, one might wonder why all that mass is needed. Is it just to impress the buyer and justify a higher price? Or are these manufacturers trying to convey that the "back wave" is more important, and that they need to curb and redirect it to some orifice in that box? The few speakers at the front or on the side don't require much material to support them, while a significant amount is necessary to manage that back wave.

Anyway, those boxes are truly magnificent!

Yes, it is needed,

No.

Back wave is not more important - it is merely equally important.
Read the basics of the loudspeaker enclosures - you will be enlightened. Start with the groundbreaking science papers from Neville Thiel and Richard Small about vented and closed loudspeaker boxes.

Your cryptic writing style can not conceal your love for open baffle/panel loudspeakers and hate for loudspeaker boxes. OK, but bear in mind - open baffle/panel loudspeakers have some serous drawbacks also. You posted pictures of several small open baffle loudspeakers - all of them have no bass at all. Besides that, I find them ugly.

Ok, more leaning..or rather curvature
Pylon Audio Jasper 25 mkII. Ugly green but probably exists in different colors

Visible screws on woofers and tweeters is a disqualification in the category “Most beautiful speaker in the world”. :p
