Such things keep my faith in humanity
I'm not sure any of those two heights is necessarily better looking as the speakers fit the room nicely anyway and in the low position they're not hidden at all, but they definitely need better cable management

Yeah, read somewhere about Ingvar only selling the speakers/DIY kits to those who visit him in person. Always nice to have a talk with a knowledgeable person, but quite a distance to travel as I'm not that close to Sweden )Yeah I guess it can be hard getting one of these unless you live in Sweden. Only way of buying them new either prebuilt or as a kit is by calling the Ingvar yourself and then travel to him both getting a demo (where you come to his demo room with him talking about them, how you set them up yada yada) and then getting the speakers, so yeah not too easy at all. So used is a bit easier but probably still quite hard since most of them will be in Sweden and I guess most people don't want to send them abroad.
What is probably easier is to get the commercialised sibling, namely the Guru Junior. It's supposedly almost the same speaker but with a few obvious differences. I bet they do measure and sound a bit differently but afaik these Gurus still hold up really good from what I've read! They do look really nice as well (at least the one to the right imo)

The cheapest one can be bought without a visit (piP), but since everything else is quite a bit more expensive and with a waiting time it's better to know what you're paying for.Yeah, read somewhere about Ingvar only selling the speakers/DIY kits to those who visit him in person. As for the speakers - I pretty much prefer the somewhat "old school" looks of the PiP, Junior is too modenistic/minimalistic for me
They actually do, but it is invertedHave you noticed that the honeycomb drivers don't have a surround?
I spy some SEAS bass and midrange drivers in there... not sure about the tweeter thoughLTS DIY floorstanders
Do you have a photo of that? They actually do, but it is inverted
I have a 50 page pdf document detailing how they work and how they can be put together, just haven't had the time to read a lot. Guru midrange and tweeter are better though, offers more detail and the songs I've compared singing flows out moreI spy some SEAS bass and midrange drivers in there... not sure about the tweeter though![]()
By any aesthetic standard in any culture these are f**king ugly!thee most beautiful is thee JBL 4675A and that is it , i doubt many here would even recall listening or feeling these in a THX sound system cinema or substandard cinemas

Dynaudio Confidence 50
The rest of the speaker? It seems that the most important part is the baffle that holds the five speakers; the rest is...well?
It's just a box (or boxes) to block, harness, redirect, etc., the "back wave" of those speakers mounted on the baffle. And, of course, to make it all look "magnificent."The rest of the speaker?
THE CALL OF THE SIRENSI'm strangely drawn to these:
