Most beautiful speakers in the world ?

I also somewhat like some of those Rockport designs. Though admittedly, I always prefer nice wood thrown in on a speaker.

The rock ports remind me a little bit of another speaker brand that makes nice looking speakers which has been featured in this thread, Kharma.

At one point, I auditioned the karma ceramic loudspeakers, hoping they would be “ the one” because I liked their looks and they would fit into my room well.

Unfortunately they were a bit too rich and boomy in the bass, and a bit too soft in the highs. Still, they are very beautifully made speakers when you see them in person, especially with the subtle aubergine finish.

The big horn speakers always remind me of the Whos in Whoville.1736558008948.jpeg1736558062539.jpeg

Some of those I'd consider for the thread 'Ugliest speakers in the World',....

I essentially agree with your point of "I'd consider for the thread 'Ugliest speakers in the World'"!

Nevertheless, ...
Very much interesting to find they are using FOSTEX metal horn super-tweeters which has three screws on front, i.e. T90A-ST or T900A (golden face) or T500A Mk III; all of them have very high efficiency and very narrow directivity just like T925A which I use in my mutlichannel multi-SP-driver multi-amplifier fully active audio system (ref. here #931 on my project thread for the latest system setup).

My recent efforts on wide-3D reflective dispersion of high-Fq sound given by T925A would be of your interest and reference, I assume.
- A new series of audio experiments on reflective wide-3D dispersion of super-tweeter sound using random-surface hard-heavy material:

Part-2_ Comparison of catalogue specifications of metal horn super-tweeter (ST) FOSTEX T925A and YAMAHA Beryllium dome tweeter (TW) JA-0513; start of intensive listening sessions with wide-3D reflective dispersion of ST sound: #921
Part-3_ Listening evaluation of sound stage (sound image) using excellent-recording-quality lute duet tracks: #926
Part-3.1_ Listening evaluation of sound stage (sound image) using excellent-recording-quality jazz trio album: #927
Part-4_Provisional conclusion to use Case-2 reverse reflective dispersion setting in default daily music listening: #929

but here you go, that's how taste works. I wanted to do an update for the topic by listing a 2024 speaker, however, it's just a new iteration of my usual aesthetic:

Yes, fully agree with you, since I too love the beautiful dark cherrywood (looks so) or ebony; I have the similar/same aesthetic in my setup!

I really like the epoxy filled live edge ones, 4th from the top of that post. The wood is gorgeous. Wood I have left it live edge and open back though? Not a chance. They'd be squared off as baffles for a real speaker.

30 years old - SAC Cantabile. If not beautiful, at least design was way ahead of the time.

I think it would be difficult to fully get rid of refraction in the 4th from the top. What do you say?

Is SAC Cantabile a subsidiary of IBM Mainframes?
U seem to be pretty loud and opinionated in this thread that flows easily with tolerance? I must admit that I am puzzled with your comments.
