The most beautiful in the world? It is art. Cost a lot, they do. :)

Brutally ugly if you ask me. Maybe not the art on them but the speakers themselves.

Edit:
Video: :)

They look great actually.

If I had billions and an enormous room (among many) perhaps they'd be one of the ridiculous number of music setups I'd go crazy on. After buying the next [redacted] of the [redacted] perhaps. Or world peace and a climate-friendly future.

*but would I get time to listen to them between live concerts? who knows ... [playful shrug emoji] everyone needs an after-party

Fugly doesn't come close to describing the way I feel about those speakers.
I can think of nothing in their possible perceived sound quality that would make me want to own them.
The best idea I can come up with would be to introduce them to a gallon of gas and a match.

I have to say this is the most disappointing thread ever. I have seen nothing that is amazingly beautiful. The horn speakers would just dominate a room while looks amazing on their own in a way a steam engine does, simply not something I would want in my front room

Could you perhaps post a photo or two of what you consider to be beautiful looking loudspeakers?

The original paint is just piano black (maybe some other options ) , but that's hardly an improvement they still have the sci-fi dystopia look :)

Our own @Frank Dernie has one of the original iterations of that Goldmund design.

I don't see them as much improved by the very expensive artwork.

I heard the originals, which were selected for MOMA iirc, back in the mid 1990s and ended up buying 2 parts of their modular replacement, the Epilog 1&2. They are still in daily use and I have yet to hear spekers I prefer.

This version came out later as active DSP and wireless and an Ally enclosure when they replaced the Epilog with a new range.
No wonder it is expensive, that artwork is painted on leather which then has to be hand tailored and stitched to fit.

And limited to just 20 pairs... really?

They really believe there are 20 people in the world who not only have the means, but have such questionable taste in aesthetics and audio performance?

Wow!
I heard the original Apologue and Analogue around 30 years ago at a place where I went to audition a used set of the original Wilson Wamm speakers.
I preferred the simpler Analogue, bought the replacement Epilog 1&2 and have yet to hear a speaker I prefer.
They turned out to be good value since I have listened to them a lot in the last 27 years or so.

Oh I know, the Goldmunds been around for decades.
It's simply the vomit that has been regurgitated all over them that I reacted to.

From another thread, page 4, #63:

....picked up speaker designer Stig Carlsson and his disciples (John Larsen, Larsen speakers R.I.P). One of these disciples, Peter Steindl, I think makes nice looking egg-shaped speakers. A bit of a lifestyle look to them but as far as I know Peter Steindl has worked hard to get them to measure and sound good. :) Two tweeters for those who like sound spread out that way. Made to be placed on a wall. That in itself has its advantages with bass support, among other things.

Enough about that. In this thread it's about appearance, the beautiful so this is what they look like::)

Technical data for those interested. What Peter states about, for example, FR is correct:

Edit:
Almost in itself the subject of its own thread: Appearance, looks, the beautiful and its being or not ; lifestyle speaker vs. classic HiFi speakers (I am then thinking of traditional two-way bookshelf speakers or floor-standing speakers). :)
Which in practice, in many homes these days really is a discussion that has occurred and is occurring. As a guess, over 50% of all used HiFi I have bought in the last decade have been sold by the buyer because: There is nothing wrong with X just that we in the family have now gone over to Sonos (or similar modern wireless).
