I know it's irrational but a mains powered device in a wooden box screams "fire hazard" to me

I remember when I bought these in 1999 the audio salesman said, "just so you know, these are not fancy, there's a power button and a green light."

My system has been as simple as a power button and a green light since that day!

What more do you need?. I don't even use the power button on my old Adcoms.
They remain in the ON position and power switching is handed by powerstrips controlled by the preamps trigger out.

I hate the boring same same-ness of modern mostly white-black interiors.

Great amps Buckeye's building but the casing looks like a cheap DIY project.
I'd rather ask him if I picked up some clean old gutted Adcom boxes if he'd build his amp inside it.

...the Adcom is admirable for its simplicity in casing its components but is just a waste of resources @ Buckeye Purifi implementation...IMHO...

...I find that sort of waste esthetically displeasing in my equipment, although I may admire it in yours to some degree...

...the only thing I would change on a Buckeye amp (besides deleting the logo and any color other than black) would be to add RCA connectors, but that too would basically be an unnecessary waste of resource$ as well...that is the whole esthetic @ Buckeye, eh...

...to some, (me), esthetics is a mental and physical thing, not just visual...

...maybe add a 5 year warrantee...that would be esthetically pleasing to some here...

Certainly high on the list -- but on the other hand it was extremely Henry Kloss-y looking!
Not that it looked like Henry, but it looked like most other hifi and radio components he had a hand in bringing to market - over a span of several decades.

OK, this is a "modern" Tivoli One... but it looks nearly identical to the original.
