Yamaha released a new integrated amp with 8-track capability. My wife still has some, maybe I should get it for her. :)

Meh. Waiting on the memory foam version.

Might be a downgrade. The product sheet 1st mentions 100% Flamingo Feathers, then 2 Lbs. of Hungarian Goose Down, with Kef's exclusive AC (acoustic cloth) utilizing Blade and Blade Two technology. Perhaps a hybrid Flamingo/Hungarian Goose mix? I understand Hungarian Geese are ethically raised. Not sure about the Flamingos.

You can add it too the cart on the Kef USA site. Not sure if it will let the order go through, but $400 each using reference series drivers seems like a deal.

How did they get around the harmonic resonance problem with the Hungarian geese?

Norio's April Fool's omake:

Introducing The AudioPHILE® © ™ .

Harmonic distortion is a well-known phenomenon in audio. What is less well-known is that a transducer, while reproducing a mixture of frequencies as found in music, cannot maintain its linearity throughout the entire frequency range. Higher frequencies harmonically distort lower frequencies, which means the transducer is almost always working beyond its designed parameters. This revolutionary device, short for Audio Phase-Harmonized Integrated Linearity Extender® © ™ , actively works to extend the linearity of any transducer system, be it speakers, headphones or IEMs. It applies two FFTs (Fast Fourier Transforms) back-to-back in order to reduce any music signal to its purest form - individual frequencies. These frequencies then pass through two extra-large filters soaked in only the purest Australian pit viper oil before being sent in parallel to the transducers. The result - broad, lifelike soundstage; profound and multidimensional imaging, plus significantly improved extension at the frequency ends. Extract the true power of your audio system today!
