I have been reading Stereophile's coverage.
There are two takeaways.
1. Most of the covered gear is very expensive to insanely expensive.
2. The quality of music streamed in from Tidal (and possibly others) was so high that listeners did not realize it was not from a local CD.
I find #1 to be typical and #2 as very interesting.
