Not concerned about appearance. I know the HT center uses a much more expensive cabinet. Not using it for multi-channel music. Only using it for HT purposes. Is the HT center even better than the mono price for HT and if so, is it worth the extra $1000. Again, only concerned about performance.

What are your main speakers?
I have not decided yet. I am looking into getting new mains as well
Hi @sneabs! Welcome to ASR.

Using the links below, you can directly compare Philharmonic's Klippel NFS measurements of the HT Center to Erin's Klippel NFS measurements of the THX-365C:
https://philharmonicaudio.com/pages/measurements/#ht-center
https://www.erinsaudiocorner.com/loudspeakers/monoprice_thx_center/

Sadly, Philharmonic does not (yet) provide more extensive measurements of their speakers, so we cannot compare things like directivity and distortion.
Thank you. Can you help me interpret this information? Is it enough to help make my decision. I feel like the mono would be more than sufficient but I am a fan of Dennis Murphy’s products. Gigantic difference in price. But nice things cost money.

I've only heard the Monolith 365 but if you plan on going Philharmonic for mains I would stick with their 3 way center. It uses good drivers and parts. Should measure well.

The Monolith is good and blends well with a lot of speakers. I tested a lot of centers and used it until I recently replaced all my speakers.

Revel c208 on sale for about $1500. Philharmonic does not compare. Check Amir's review.
Here's how they "compare" on the CEA2034.

Hello,
Can you help interpret this data for me? What should I take away from this?

Thanks Dennis

That's not an easy question. Both designs are WMTW, and such speakers generally don't measure that well on axis. The two woofer cavities and the dimensions of the baffle tend to produce some pronounced diffraction effects where the output from the drivers bounces off of the edges and woofer cavities and arrive with a delay that is to varying degrees out of phase with the direct sound, which causes some peaks and dips in the system response. It's pretty clear that the Philharmonic center does better in this respect than the Revel. I think that's a meaningful comparison since anyone sitting in the middle of the screen area will hear the on-axis response first. But the wall reflections will also be audible and will help shape the overall response of the speaker. In this regard, it's difficult to say which speaker is "better." Looking at the "early reflections" measurement (in blue), the HT is smoother up to about 3 kHz, at which point the HT shows an elevation in output compared with the Revel. That was a deliberate voicing decision based on listening sessions where the slight increase in highs made speech more intelligible. But I'm not claiming the HT is "right" and the Revel is "wrong." Only a listening test and personal preference would establish which is the better speaker for a specific person.

I'm a novice but I have the HT Towers and a THX-365C and I think the 365C sounds fantastic. I even have it sitting in a BDI Corridor media console with the slatted doors closed and it's great. I do have to offset the 365T slightly left or right of center as the tweeter and mid get blocked by the edges of the doors, so it sounds good and I don't notice it being shifted over at all. With the doors open it does sound slightly better, but not drastically so. I can't even tell that the voices are coming from the speaker. They come from the screen (83" LG G4). Very happy with it. I don't know why but I thought the HT Center was ported so I didn't even consider it, but it's sealed, so now I am curious. I am still building another setup in another room and will need another center so may go for the HT Center in my first room and move the 365 to the new one..
