That's not an easy question. Both designs are WMTW, and such speakers generally don't measure that well on axis. The two woofer cavities and the dimensions of the baffle tend to produce some pronounced diffraction effects where the output from the drivers bounces off of the edges and woofer cavities and arrive with a delay that is to varying degrees out of phase with the direct sound, which causes some peaks and dips in the system response. It's pretty clear that the Philharmonic center does better in this respect than the Revel. I think that's a meaningful comparison since anyone sitting in the middle of the screen area will hear the on-axis response first. But the wall reflections will also be audible and will help shape the overall response of the speaker. In this regard, it's difficult to say which speaker is "better." Looking at the "early reflections" measurement (in blue), the HT is smoother up to about 3 kHz, at which point the HT shows an elevation in output compared with the Revel. That was a deliberate voicing decision based on listening sessions where the slight increase in highs made speech more intelligible. But I'm not claiming the HT is "right" and the Revel is "wrong." Only a listening test and personal preference would establish which is the better speaker for a specific person.
