Mogami Gold Studio XLR cable vs Worlds Best Cable

but they use a considerably thicker PVC jacket, oxygen free OFC conductors and far better cable ends, which makes them considerably better at rejecting noise, and holding up over time.
considerably thicker PVC jacket > good for a portable cable, doesn't matter for a play-back interconnect.
oxygen free OFC conductors > just a marketing hype!
far better cable ends > always a good thing
which makes them considerably better at .............. holding up over time > much more important for a portable cable.
which makes them considerably better at rejecting noise > none of the above have anything to do with rejecting noise!

Sure, a (poorly constructed, cheap materials) cable will work just as well as a higher quality cable
How did (poorly constructed, cheap materials) cables enter the discussion?
I have always suggested using Belden, Canare or Mogami bulk cables.
Don't confuse the added requirements of a portable microphone cable with a permanently installed interconnect cable.

While a cable constructed with poor material or design may impact noise or interference,
it won't impact frequency response or distortion.

Platinum Studio has to be the best
because they equipped high-end xlr plugs of silver
then that cable costs a lot of money
cable is called W3402
but here comes the trick
tag w3173 vs W3402 same data
4 meters w3173 with xlr connector costs 54 euros here in Europe
can also be used for active speakers

Hi Kevin.
Would you please share which type of Belden/Mogami/Canare you used for Fixed Installation?
(I plan to do home improvement to clean up the cabling. Intend to go for for long interconnect since my surround needs a circa 50-foot connection.)

Thanks.

For worlds Best cable i would expect more...

PVC is cheap but I would Prefer PUR or better Fluoropolymer
OFC pure copper is marketing but "tinned copper" is way actually more durable.

And of cause Star Quad cable is superior to Twisted pair.

Braided is better then non Braided Screen and double is better then one shield.
And conductive plastic layer around the inner strands will Reduce the handling noise.

And conectors of cause:

Does it matter?
No, Probably not.
