MoFi Sourcepoint V10 Master Edition

It’s early but i like how it sounds right now. Still working on placement. Here’s a picture of it next to a Polk R700.
Is your space a dedicated space? Or it's a live-in room?

Their webpage gives the V10's weight as 160 pounds.
Lol, they changed it. It used to show 80 pounds, which I commented on here. I didn't see how, given the cabinet and big woofers, it could only weigh 80 pounds.

Question: Is the 200 watt max power handling a concern at all?

not really.

Sensitivity is speced at 91 dB so that doesn’t seem like it should be a problem.

Please give us a mini review of your experience with them when you get them dialed into your setup. Also a personal request, listen to "Swamp" (Talking heads) and turn it up! Looking for your impression of the bass performance.

The SP V10 website info has been updated. Thanks MoFi.

I don't see any update; as it still states HWD in wrong order and still states 160 lbs.
I think this is the sentence and content that was fixed:
"Each speaker houses a concentric midrange/tweeter, twin woofers, and rear‑firing dual passive radiators"

Regarding the weight, I thought we concluded they really are 160 lbs each and maybe just the "each" is missing?

At 160 pounds each, that works out to $25 a pound for a pair at $8K. I wonder how much the weight of this floor-standing loudspeaker added to the cost getting a pair from the factory to a customer.
Out of curiosity I tried a freight rate calculator. LA to New York by truck says about $4k to ship 10000 lbs. Thats 40 cents/lb. So about $70 each, which aint nothin. I have no idea what a ship from china costs, so there will be huge differences depending on where its from and where its going.

The V10 are intriguing...For long I have been a fan of NHT 3.3's. Currently using a Sony HiRes HD music server, Okto Stereo 8 DAC, Supratek DHT pre or LTA MZ3 into Pass X250.8. My listening room is 16 ft wide by 22 ft long with 8 ft ceiling, acoustically untreated. The NHT's are deep but they go against the wall. I'm worried the V10's will be too much for my room with the 2 rear firing passives, should I go for the 888's instead? I have a custom 15" sub driven by a Hypex plate amp that can be added if necessary.
Any advice greatly appreciated.

They're not. MDF shell and front baffle (minus the waveguide insert).

They are - in part. The front & outsides are polycarbonate

The original Neumann KH 120 monitors had an aluminum cabinet, while the updated KH 120 II model uses MDF (medium-density fiberboard) for the main cabinet structure. The KH 120 II also incorporates a composite polycarbonate front and back

Best things on the picture are the bikes.

These look amazing. Will wait for measurements and Erin's review, but considering selling my F208's and putting the proceeds towards these.
