Mixer draft - Sketch. Is there a better alternative? Need to run iPad and PC at same Monitors but without much latency and great sound quality.

I own one.
Every input and output is electronically balanced with ample gain and very low noise.
No "impedance balanced" or single ended circuits in this.

I'm sure these are all fine, but 849€ here, 1139€ there, isn't that all a bit expensive? Space permitting, I might consider something like a Yamaha MG10 XU, even if its specs obviously fall short of the above.

Anyway, why does the iPad need to have a USB connection? It's a battery-operated device and Apple tends to equip their stuff with well-performing audio codecs, so I don't see anything wrong with using the headphone output. You could also use a USB-SPDIF converter with it and run that into another input of the RME, eliminating the need for a mixer altogether.

iPad runs PianoTeq. I play with my ROLAND FP30 on it. I don't wanna be dependent whether my PC is running or not.
Plus, my PC sometimes runs high loads, which then would mean audio dropouts.

I had USB SPDIF Converter and you can't mix Toslink without Software. It was a crappy experience.
I even had auto Toslink switcher
Money no object until ~ 2000 EUR

Absolutely not. Then I would need to switch Sources manually. It doesn't mix it.
Currently I use a USB switcher.

I would agree it is very expensive for what it is.
They are stamped out like a car or a toaster or an air conditioner.

I would also argue that there is nothing that does what it does as well, I have used cheap mixers with more features than don't have fundamental use as the basic.

The manual is written by english speaking people and the exploded diagram should be standard for any mixer.

I purchased mine with 2 DB25 to trs to connect to a patchbay and make my cables with canare.

I bought it in early 2020 for the then price of 'more than it is now'

My first one was purchased new from a reputable seller.
There are two in the USA that carry a full SSL card and have consumer confidence to buy from as far as I know.

My first one had no HF bell EQ on channel 2, again from a supposedly unused factory fresh unit.
I waited 10 months using and loving the mixer and ignoring that bell switch on one HF eq.

I got a little tense when the 12 month was approaching and I would file the claim!
I've discussed this (maybe) on Gearsluts Opps Gearspace

When I finally put in the warranty claim with 2 weeks left I was awarded with a different mixer in a reasonable time that works perfectly.
Thats what I purchased in the first place, and in time with no. 2 I received. ;)
