I would be looking to do that with my Wiim Ultra.
Isn't that about $1k usd of licenses?Wow, ART license included in the price
I think just about any will do as far as sound quality goes for digital.OG and OTA digital. I could use the TuneIn app on my phone but sometimes I just want to turn the radio on without any fuss.
Entirely agree. U.S. customers should think twice, hard, before ordering. Had I known what a frustrating hassle this was going to turn into, I would not have ordered, and keep in mind, with miniDSP there is no way to undo an order. I'm fairly certain (hope!) mine will arrive eventually, but it was not worth the trouble.Mine has been stuck in Memphis for 9 days now. My next step is to call Customs to see what they have to say.
Reddit has an interesting discussion of this including contact numbers.
At present I would not order directly from MiniDSP. They seem to be unable to fix this problem.
I would order from a US source like Deer Creek.

It is unfortunate, but I suggest that anyone considering purchasing the TIde16 either await Deer Creek getting inventory, or simply purchase a different product, such as the HTP-1.
In general that is not true, for example for selling digital goods direct in to the EU means registering for and dealing with EU VAT. The US is a bit different but it’s still the case that just because it’s digital doesn’t mean there is no paperwork.FedEx is just slow you will get your stuff some day. Idk why they can’t use ups and stop collecting the terrifs when you’re buying. Same with Dirac make it separate transaction it’s digital no reason they should be reporting it to customs.
The problem appears to be FedEx. As the import tax (tariff) was pre-paid, customs cleared promptly, but FedEx didn't act on that and still it remains sitting in Memphis with a message from FedEx that the delivery date that they are "actively" working to update the delivery date. I am probably not the only U.S. customer being inconvenienced by this.Maybe there have been a bit too many changes in the U.S. tariffs and regulations concerning these. Deliveries to Europe seem to have been really speedy mostly.
I mean, we've waited since January. I'm not happy about the delay but it's not a huge deal.It is unfortunate, but I suggest that anyone considering purchasing the TIde16 either await Deer Creek getting inventory, or simply purchase a different product, such as the HTP-1.
Just a guess, but, you may not be the intended audience. I'm buying as is.I’d certainly buy one if they improve the HDMI situation. 2.1 and more inputs. Would even spend extra for that.
If it was simply a delay, that would be okay, but it isn't just a delay, at least in my case. I have had to call FedEx twice a day for a week with, thus far, no result. There is some risk of loss here, because there is a possibility of FedEx returning it or the item being destroyed.I mean, we've waited since January. It's nothing against miniDSP or the Tide 16, but a cautionary for U.S. customers, to realize what they may be in for ordering the Tide direct, at this time.
Yeah, who wants more HDMI inputs and better than 2.0 capability?Just a guess, but, you may not be the intended audience. I'm buying as is.
No need to throw insults for no reason. If the current Tide 16 doesn't meet your needs then it's not for you. Plenty of options out there.Yeah, who wants more HDMI inputs and better than 2.0 capability?
Buncha losers.
As a current SDP-55 owner looking up trade up to ART, I’d think they’d want my business.
Wasn’t an insult. Just sarcasm. No need to throw insults for no reason. If the current Tide 16 doesn't meet your needs then it's not for you. Plenty of options out there.
