MiniDSP SHD limitation - XLR passive switch?

Hi everyone,

I have a miniDSP SHD, 2 passive speakers and 1 subwoofer. Speakers and sub connected via XLR (using outputs 1, 2 and 3 respectively).

I just got a couple of active monitors and will connect them to the miniDSP, also via XLR, to use the same subwoofer and EQ them. (Not to use them at the same time as the passive speakers, obvioysly).

But just realized a limitation of the SHD, it only has 4 channels and XLR/RCA are parallel outputs.

I need to move the sub to RCA (output 3 and 4), but then I will not be able to use the sub with the active monitors because they will be connected to XLR outputs 3 and 4...

Would I be ok using a XLR passive switch (1 in, 2 out) like the Nobsound MC103 so I can switch between actives + sub, and passives + sub, and create separate presets for them?

I think that should be ok but looking for more skilled opinions than mine...

Thanks.

Ps. If the above works, is there anything better than the Nobsound MC103 or should I be ok with it?

Yes, definitely.
