Hey Y'all. I'm trying to calculate how powerful an amp I need. The minidsp flex with Dirac is in my chain and I was curious if anyone has an idea how much headroom I should put into the Crown Audio calculator to get a somewhat accurate idea of how many watts per channel I need? Speakers sensitivity 86.4, distance 2.25 meters, anything over 80db hurts my ears. Thanks

If you are running Diraclive, I've seen it reported that you want to keep 10db headroom.

Which speakers do you have?

Revel M106
I have Revel M105's with a miniDSP Flex (balanced) and Dirac Live. The Revels are crossed over at 80 Hz for subs. I power them with a little Topping PA5, and at -10db on the Flex the Revels are at 95 dB at my listening position, which is 1M (nearfield desktop setup).

Ok, thanks. I was looking at a 150 watt into 8 ohm NCore. I also have a powered sub for a 2.1 setup
