Can ART be added to Minidsp flex?
The goal would be to place it between a preamp and an amplifier to get digital room correction in a 2.0 system with a analog sources.
No unfortunately.

Acrylic panel falling off is not great.

Add mine to this list. Has been lightly used so appears to be a design flaw. Adhesive seems like a very questionable choice.

Otherwise, my experience with minidsp has been pretty good with regard to build quality. Hopefully, they find some better front panel attachment method.

I've seen this problem as well.

1. What?

Also, the WiiM Ultra definitely has a sub out:

The sub out does nothing interesting... It is basically L+R (mono) full range output as far as I know. It does not high pass the mains and low pass the sub out, you could achieve the same thing by having a y splitter on l-r RCA and feed the sub...
The flex on the other hand is great, it will do all magic high passing and low passing and delay/timing control, phase alignment...

I'm pretty sure it does high pass at the same frequency as crossover set. what is useful is they have volume and delay matching functionality now. If your sub doesn't have DSP this is quite a useful feature.

Incorrect, WiiM applies a low pass filter to the sub out as well as a high pass filter to the speaker out under its bass management functionality. It also has separate delay control for the mains and for the sub as well as separate volume level control for the sub out (relative to mains, so it goes up and down with the main volume). The problem with the delay control is that it is only in whole ms increments, which is not very granular. Additionally, there is no slope control, only selectable crossover frequency.

It you run automatic delay adjustment it does in any amount:

I can set delays with two figures after the dot, e.g. 10,43, with automatic alignment three figures are even possible.. You have also the choice, independently, to bypass crossover for mains and / or subs. So if your sub has the possibility for setting it's own crossover, you can apply different crossovers to mains and subs. The only thing missing is choosing crossover slopes or more than one sub out.

Thanks! I haven't owned a WiiM in a very, very long time, so I am glad to see they've improved this. I do understand they finally fixed the auto-sync problem where it originally used a mic inside the streamer and not in the phone/attached to the phone for the sync.

Ha thanks look at that, maybe I should've checked, I was wrong... i wasn't sure. In any case it isn't as expansive as the flex and for me, the flex high point is to put it AFTER preamp as an active crossover on the RCA signal. This is where it shines. I don't like the wiim ultra as a preamp... It's volume control and analog stage is rudimentary to fine for a desktop or casual party system. But the flex is more than fine...
