I've just noticed that one of the metal mesh 'filters' on my Zero 2's has detached itself and become lost in infinity somewhere. I can't hear any difference but it'd be nice to replace it as I now use these a lot. Ali Express have shedloads up to 5mm diameter, but the Zero 2s are 6mm or so as far as I can measure. I don't need to attenuate the hf - the original mesh is quite open and overall balance is perfect as long as my ears are clear, so no need to attenuate the high frequencies with a denser mesh type.

Anyone else successfully replaced the mesh and maybe the filter behind? The maker's site has nothing and it'd be a shame to have to replace these if the filters ever need to be replaced.

Just looked at my Zero:2 and external diameter of plastic tube is 6mm, while mesh is like 4.5mm.

My post from the main thread.

Basically, I got support via Amazon to buy replacements and spares.

Thanks to the above for help. I could have sworn the mesh inserts were more than 5mm, but my eyes also aren't what they were, so almost certainly mistaken.

I'll try Linsoul in the first instance and see what comes up. Ali Express has many, many sellers of 5mm mesh inserts of roughly the right type - no need to attenuate the highs for this particular listener :D

You won't notice the presence of mesh filters.
But without them, the worms will be escaping into your ears.
