The 1kHz spectrum in #1 is very bad, very poor, because all that spuriae have to be integrated to get some meaningful view. It will be audible, for sure, as a sound signature. Another toy rather than audio component.

non-pro it is bare Cirrus DAC CS43131 and it makes what was promised in its datasheet.

Doesn't look like it. The CS43131 datasheet says at worst 109db THD+N at 0db 2V into 10kohm. That's 11db better than the 98db here measured here.

This thing is more like $20 actually.
Probably fine when used with a phone.

what about that?

So you're measuring 0.002% = -114db 1V? That's close to what it should be from the chip. Why is amirm's measurement different at 2V? Even the spectrum looks quite different.

Was HIDIZS S8 tested in the same dirty PC usb port? Do you think HIDIZS S8 has means for 'Filtering of USB noise'?

I think I'd better wait for 9038Do_O

So it's better or worse than the Pro DAC and the Hidizs S8? sample variance?

Temporarily, I'm using this dac waiting for 9038D.
I'm using this with foobar2000. I found buffering situation in waspi(push) mode, and no working in waspi(event), but working in DS.
Does anybody have any ideas?

Foobar wasapi event is buggy. Wasapi push is much more stable. It's a bug, WASAPI component has not been updated in years.

its measurement error, amirm u should replace u computer or other way to measurement dongle。

If one on computer it measures worse than on another computer, it does not seem like an 'error' to me.
More like 'real world performance' scenario...

Yeah but 0dB measured his Meizu and Meizu Pro plugged into a phone, while Amir did...something.
It seems clear to me that 0dB measured real world performance and Amir did not.

I'm using this dongle every day at work. Over a simple, old, noisy windows PC. Who says a battery powered phone's performance is "real wold" performance, anyway? Sure, a bunch of people will use it that way, but that's hardly everyone.

A phone is the intended and ~93% accurate use case for this product.
