Yamaha make excellent guitars at all price points. I have a high-end Yamaha Pacifica 812W that equals fender strats of double the price. Top-end Yamaha guitars are bargains. Because they don't have the Fender decal on the headstock excellent condition used ones are a steal.

This is all true of Asian-built G&L Tributes as well. They are my favorite Fender style guitars. If you want to spend a few bucks, ordering and American G&L is a great choice. Pick your neck profile, frets, color, etc, get Fender Custom shop quality at half the price.
