I have a 5.1 system (Fronts are set to large, Center and Surrounds are set to small with a crossover of 60Hz).
In the following screenshot of the MX100 web interface, there is a crossover frequency setup and a bass low pass filter.
My front speakers are large the rest are small and I use "LFE" (NOT "LFE + Main").
I understand the crossover frequency and I set them up per speaker, but I don't know what to set the Bass Low Pass Frequency? The minimum I can set that is 80Hz while my crossover for Center and Surrounds are set to 60Hz. what should I set the Bass Low Pass filter to if I don't need to use it? Will that crossover be ignored since I use "LFE" and not "LFE + Main"?
I called McIntosh but I did not get a black & White answer.
After I ran Audyssey, it set my fronts to 40Hz (while I set them up as "Large") will it be ignored since my fronts are Large?

What speakers are you using? Starting with the individual units would help replies. Also audyssey doesn't set those levels, the OEM does.

They are Martin Logan:
Summit X (Front)
Focus C18 (Center)
Purity (Surrounds)
SVS SB17 (Sub)

I'd run the center and surround at or above 80hz. If you want to run the mains full range, you can, but I wouldn't for surround sound. The performance of your sub should be great up to 60hz (or much higher) with your mains (with your setup) I'd start with an octave above your main's F3. If you do want to run them full range Large+ lfe is the setting but again I wouldn't for surround sound.

I have a stereo setup when my maina dig well into the low 20s, measured below, but I still cross them over to subs and couldn't be happier.

My first question is regarding the screenshot I attached.
What is the difference between Crossover Value and Bass Low pass Filter?

Crossover value: Mains/Satellite HPF
Bass Low Pass Filter: Sub LPF

What should I set the Bass Low Pass Filter to (in my case where fronts are large and the rest are small)?
