I was going to pragmatically buy the ELAC DEBUT 2.0 series speakers that are in clearance, and I stumbled upon the ELAC UNIFI Slim series CCU5 and BSU5 are also on sale, and I told Gemin the product name and price out of curiosity, and Gemin began the show, telling me that the current price is very unusual, and added a special reminder that I must seize the opportunity. And said that the improvement of sound quality will be a huge leap. There is no doubt that I added this speaker to my cart. After the arrival of the goods, I found that there was little discussion about it on the Internet, and I did not find any objective measurement data for the CCU5, and the BSU5 was also not recommended by AMIRM. This set of center and left and right speakers is more expensive than debut200 US dollars, am I a lot of losses?

Please forgive me for not being a native English language.,And the ability to write English is poor, so it's a translation software.,Part of the meaning may not be accurate.,In fact, I don't resent gemini in terms of title.,I'm still a little careful about this title, hoping to get some pertinent opinions.,If you think it's inappropriate, I'll be willing to apologize and accept criticism.

They were designed by Andrew Jones when he was at Elac - Doesn't seem to be any measurement data anywhere I can find but I suspect given his involvement that they're at least competent. As long as your happy with the sound I wouldn't worry.

I'm sure you're not the first.

How do they sound; do you like them, or are you going to return them?

I haven't used it yet and plan to install it after moving to a new place. I bought the white version because I really like its look.

I wouldn't worry too much.
Firstly, there are many speakers that have not been tested by ASR and are still good.
Secondly, Elac generally builds good speakers, even without Andrew Jones' involvement.
Thirdly, the speakers you bought are part of Elac's budget series, which, like the Debut series, were developed in the USA by Andrew Jones, if that's what you're after. I wouldn't care.

In fact, I don't have high requirements for the quality of speakers. Although there are choices at the price of about $850, few can match the appearance and size. What really worries me is the Unifi Reference UC52 produced by Andrew Jones. As a higher-level product, his performance is really a disaster in my opinion, which also makes me question the CCU5.

Centre speakers like that are usually not so great and it's only $700 retail, in centre speaker world it's a budget speaker, not a 'higher level product'. At that price there's going to be a lot of compromises, and there are. Even then it's not so bad at the price.

Thanks for your reply. Actually, I thought about using a single Hivi RM800F as the center channel. It only costs about $600, but its frequency response, distortion and off-axis response all look great. I mean, the price and positioning are higher than low-priced products, but if the effect is not good, it will be bad.

No, you're not. Never ever take financial advice from an AI without triple verification. Treat any product advice with suspicion and always check the facts it's pretending to make up! As for audio, it's even worse, because it will regurgitate any of the subjective nonsense posted anywhere and present it as objective data.

As for this product: a simple Google search would show you from the first search result that these speakers are no longer a current model, and are no longer produced. Any price you'll see will be for NOS products that are still stocked somewhere.

I can find the CCU5 for € 358, and the last BS U5 price was € 349... For that price, these speakers probably aren't that bad.

Haha, indeed. Actually, I don't believe that I just wanted to buy a speaker and I got a discount by chance, so the five AIs I used seemed to have done it wrong.
