Hi all

I have a torn soft dome on one of my bookshelf speakers tweeters.

The tweeters are Vifa D19TD-05. I can tell the difference between it and the undamaged one if I switch between L and R (more so with bi wiring so woofers are not in use). These tweeters are late 1980s

I read that there can be variation in sound of tweeters (presumably woofers too) if they are not matched due to age despite same specification

Should I buy 2 replacements or just one (that would be 15-20 years newer but as said exact same specification?

Replacement tweeters are about $25 each, right? If that's not a lot of money for you, get two new ones. It's possible the ferrofluid on your originals has dried out over time.
