Master Preference Ratings for Loudspeakers

The one on this site? Well I have nothing to do with that. On my site, I just stopped as Pierre is doing his and is more dedicated.
Oh. I see. Well for what its worth, your ranking is usually the first to pop up when you searched for "Audio science review speaker rankings" and is a lot more convenient and easy to read. The SPINorama ranking isnt as straight forward and for new people to ASR, it takes a while to finally realize that the SPINorama is the chart that is up to date

How does this rating chart compare to sweetchaos’s?
Out of everyone I know who does the score, the regular score is usually identical within 0.2, the with subwoofer scores are usually identical within 0.4.

That’s more than enough precision that it doesn’t matter whose scores you look at.

Is there a reason why the score of "Performance: LW with sub" was deleted when it appears in the earlier Beta version? that has been very useful to me.

‍In their database? No clue.

Unless it’s a waveguided speaker (which usually has issues directly on-axis), there shouldn’t be a huge discrepency.

I pull my data from spinorama.org, at a moment in time.

Pierre’s algorithm sometimes slightly changes the scores as he updates the site, so my value’s won’t always match, since my post is just a moment in time.

For up to date information, please refer to spinorama.org

Thanks for that information, one other question. When looking at spinorama.org, if one was to use EQ and subs with their speakers, would it make sense to compare speakers (only ones with high quality data) using preference score with EQ and sub or just sub? I ask because I think that people in general EQ based on in-room response below the Schroeder frequency, but use the recommended EQ in the spinorama for everything above that, whereas Amir, in his speakers reviews, does seem to EQ wherever there are anomalies in the frequency response (not just low frequencies). So I guess I’m wondering whether it’s really fair to compare speakers’ preference ratings with EQ because the EQ you end up choosing is dependent on your room.

The EQ will also be to taste, and how precise/detailed the EQ software is.

It’d really be best to just compare the graphs themselves if you are really trying compare different speakers, as of course there is some +/- with the scores (meaning you could like a 6.7 speaker more than a 7.5 speaker), especially if wanting to consider using a sub or not as well as EQ or not.
