I created a master list of speaker companies around the world. :D

Who's this list for:
1. Home Audio (Theater and Music)
2. Studio Audio (Mastering and Recording)
Legend:
A = Active speakers = self-powered = no amplifier required
P = Passive speakers = unpowered = amplifier required
ID = Internet Direct = can be purchased online, without a dealer
Sample:

Please let me know if I made a mistake or you would like to add something. ;)

Reserved for updates...

If I liked your post, it means I added/fixed my spreadsheet!

SPEAKER COMPANIES IM NOT INCLUDING
- OEMs and parts manufacturers (Tweeter and woofer drivers) => This list could be in the thousands, and I will not be creating this!
- Car Audio => Different market
- Outdoor Audio (for patios, gardens, etc) => Completely different design criteria, as they must be waterproof and shock/damage-proof
- Soundbars => Google it
- Subwoofers => Google it
SPEAKER COMPANIES I MAY OR MAY NOT INCLUDE
- Speaker companies with missing/dead websites =>I will include if they are active on social media platforms
- PA (Public Address) speakers =>Professional Audio is a different beast =>I will include if some speakers are made for indoor use (as studio monitors)
- Small bluetooth speakers =>I might include some that look like traditional speakers
- In-wall or in-ceiling speakers =>I will include if they make some on-wall speakers or regular speakers
Further improvements
-Is it possible to do it by city? @pozz
SUGGESTIONS REJECTED
1. Link to spinoramas for each model, please! @MediumRare => Too much work
2. What would be incredibly useful is a boolean column indicating if the manufacturer gives measurements (at least on and off axis FR) of their products. @q3cpma =>I don't see the value, only a handful of companies will have this, 99% won't have it.

Mostly monitor companies with most of the company links attached.
What would be even more interesting is if you made a list of the parent companies as well. I don't know the industry very well from that perspective. Sennheiser owns Neumann for example.

Would it be easier to have a column which says active/passive? That way you won't have to have a separate tab with repeat entries.

Reserved for updates

I had some thoughts on next update:
1. Add the year of which the speaker company started (assuming I can find the year, that is)
2. Create graphs on how many companies belong to each country
3. Lifestyle speakers (separated from others)
4. Bluetooth Portable Speakers
Do you guys want to see these?
1 & 2 yes.

Using Tableau you could code locations to a map.

I thought about that, but since Google Sheets doesn't allow you to sort entries, when a user opens the spreadsheet and they're thinking of just finding active speakers only, then it would be mixed into the passive speakers, thus making finding companies much harder.

Hmm...I think it's the right approach for now.
UPDATE:
I was having problems maintaining 2 separate lists, so i added Passive and Active links next to each other.
I think it's a better compromise.

In the future, i'll try Tableau, which will solve this easily.

Link to spinoramas for each model, please!
There was a project started by @Aprude51 to record all known speaker measurements before. I think it was abandoned at some point: https://www.audiosciencereview.com/...ting-sources-of-loudspeaker-measurement.7791/

I'm not sure if this site is active either, but the idea was to record all known spinoramas: https://speakerdata2034.blogspot.com/2019/02/spinorama-cea-2034-2015-ansi-data-format.html (actual data here: https://speakerdata2034.blogspot.com/2019/03/all-spinorama-data-index.html)
