Master List of New Speakers

What a shame. Sorry to hear that.
Don’t form your opinion from this one post from someone that has a bizarre personal vendetta against Soundfield… I leave it at that, will not feed that trolling post any further. Hopefully this thread can now get back on track.

I mean, if he isn't posting any kind of measurements ANYWHERE, then what else can I judge them on?

There are measurements (every Soundfield speaker is designed via measurements), again please reach out to Soundfield directly if you have genuine interest.

Then there are his statements around expensive equipment being snake oil, yet here he is promoting his products alongside $750 cables.
While I haven't read all the past posts I would point out that being in the same room with audiophilia junk that is someone else's product is almost unavoidable if you want to show your 5~10k speakers at a show. Paying for a room isn't cheap and you can't really come in with an attitude like "I'll only do this if everything is my way", unless of course you want to float the cost of the whole room yourself. I would forgive him for that transgression. I make no comment on the rest because I haven't followed it.

I agree with you. However if someone is set on saying you dont need sound treatment and cables are snake oil, you would think they would stand behind that with their choices. That's all. The rest is verifiable. I have met AJ and he is indeed all of the above, I met him shortly after he was banned from this website, so don't take my word for it, @amirm has similar feelings.

@ckernel8 There are no measurements (find them for me and I will correct any statement) and if they do exist they are incomplete for this being a science backed discussion. Emailing the manufacturer is not the same as publishing extensive results that speak for themselves. Even people who have the speakers in hand haven't shared their in room measurements without treatment, despite them being spectacular. It is perplexing why they wouldn't want them out there. Send a pair to Erin or @amirm, but I doubt they would even do it. Erin was supposedly working on a pair but it's been years. I support audio science, it's why most of us are here.

This looks incredible. I'm assuming $80k+?

Yeah, this is the old model. That's why I've asked, no way the new Linemaster costs the same as the the old one.

My bet would be north of $100000 for the pair.

My bad, sorry...you maybe right regarding the estimated price.

Dynaudio Contour 20 Black Edition speakers ($8000/pair), supported by Dynaudio Stand 20 stands ($598/pair) .
Rated at a sensitivity of 90dB/2.83V/m into 4 ohms and weighing 32lb each, the Contour 20 Black Edition will receive its official debut in March (location TBD). A premium version of Dynaudio’s Contour 20i monitor, the Contour 20 BE employs the 28mm Esotar3 silk-dome tweeter used in the brand’s top-tier Confidence range. A newly designed 7" woofer, with a cone that uses Dynaudio’s proprietary MSP (Magnesium Silicate Polymer) material, is optimized to mate well with the Esotar3, with a revamped crossover with Mundorf and Duelund capacitors and Van den Hul internal cabling. The 20BE features a curved, heavily braced MDF cabinet with a 1/2" aluminum baffle recessed into the speaker’s front panel.

The Contour 20 Black Edition will be available in high-gloss black, which complements the black anodized baffle and the black, powder-coated tweeter front-plate and mid/bass-driver basket.

That's interesting. Is it USD 330 or 165 per pair though? And the large depth dimension is kind of unusual.
