For an 8“, there is no way it a anechoically gets to 29Hz +/-3dB like they claim.
Even if for a desk, the Dayton sub-1200 for $150 would be be recommendation, especially as it also has speaker wire pass thru. The $100 (currently $90) Monoprice 12” is also good, and also has the speaker wire pass thru, no phase/polarity adjustment though.

No way? Yes. It is possible to make an 8" subwoofer that plays down to 30hz. . And this is Outlaw Audio we are talking about who was famous for the Outlaw Audio LFM-1 series. And not everyone has room to stick a 12" sub under their desk.

So I stand by my recommendation, which is based upon hearing user testimonials for the sub over at AVS forum over the years. The M8 has been around for at least 15 years.
