Anybody know any cheap desktop stands for these monitors?

I used these in 36" size with my 5" Presonus monitors:

https://www.audioadvisor.com/prodinfo.asp?number=PGLS300&variation=36

and these in 32" size with my JBL 308P MKII and now Kali IN-8 monitors:

https://www.audioadvisor.com/prodinfo.asp?number=PGDS400&variation=32

These 32" stands are a pretty good copy of the much more expensive Target stands also sold on the same website. Just don't expect perfect fit and finish with these cheaper stands - getting the base and tops screwed down properly is no fun with the imprecise holes they come with

but obviously I don't like putting speakers right on a desktop so if you HAVE to do that neither of these will work for you...

Not an amazing deal by any means, but the new AKG 371 are on sale for 10% off their already reasonable list price of $149: https://www.akg.com/Headphones/Professional Headphones/K371-.html

They are measured to track the Harman curve and I’ve been impressed with their ergonomics and build quality.

The K371's a fairly enjoyable earphones to my ears. No peakiness nor blooming bass issues with a nice punch in the bass region and pretty decently articulated treble details. Very listenable for multi-hour sessions. Only preference difference for them would be a deeper earcup and bigger (wider and taller by ~3-5mm all round cup interiors.

Very worth the money if its something you want to use in an open office environment just to drown out most of the background noise without completely shutting it off.

Amazon is today 11/22/2019 selling the new usually $50 Fire 7" for $30:
Fire 7 Tablet (7" display, 16 GB) - Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FKR6KXF/

I currently use one as a DAP with a D10 and Liquid Spark as Desktop setup. But I am considering a second one connected to my TX-RZ720 AVR, as unlike non-amazon devices, with Amazon music, you can 'cast' to it from both Amazon and other tablets/phones. This eliminates any need for Bluetooth, and lets me have the full lossless Amazon Music HD stream delivered to the AVR.

BTW, first step to an economic audiophile/boutique update of my modded KEF Q100 crossover:

Tony Gee recommends the expensive and new Miflex KPCU-01. I will try as bypass.

-> Youtube: is DIY Audio REALLY worth it?

* My Capacitor comparisons: Mundorfs, VCap, Sonicap Platinum, Auricap, etc

Step by step to verify the changes, if there were.

Packet arrived.

First I will to change the bypass caps. After a time, the two resistors. Then a new thread. Step by step.

BTW, about the importance of resistors, https://www.diyaudio.com/forums/solid-state/344540-alpha-nirvana-39w-8ohm-class-amp-post5981618.html

Just be aware that F7 has some issues when casting to it from Amazon Music HD app on Android phone, using Alexa. Casting works wonderfully but only up until the screen on F7 times out and locks. A few seconds later Alexa on the tablet is forced into suspend mode (apparently) and it loses connection to the remote app. So you can no longer pause/resume playback or change tracks, playlists, or albums. Current album/playlist will keep palying but there is no way to change it from the phone anymore. This is pretty annoying since you will then need to manually disable screen saver on the tablet to regain control. Maximum available screen timeout setting on F7 is 30 minutes and there is no Show mode. Amazon support web page still claims F7 (9th generation) has Show mode but I was on the chat with a support person and she checked my serial number and confirmed this model does not have it. Hence you might be better off waiting for a good deal on Amazon HD 8 or HD 10 tablets, which both support Show mode for uninterrupted music (or video) playback.

@Bamyasi Thanks!

On all my Android devices I activate Developer Options by clicking on Build Number a bunch of times (7? Or more) ..Under Developer Options. there is a Stay Awake option. This is supposed to keep the screen on while it's charging and I always activate it. Since I also usually keep it always plugged into the charger, I haven't noticed the screen turning off, so this may be a work-around.

But I haven't specifically tested this while casting to it for more than 30 minutes, as I currently use mine directly on a desktop with a D10.

I don't know if Adorama has made a mistake in the listing. But a pair of JBL 306P MkII for US$172 !!!

https://www.adorama.com/l/?searchinfo=306p

Grab it like you stole it !!!!

Sure kicks the crap out of the JBL direct price and much better than GC's price locally. I have absolutely zero reasons to buy yet another pair of monitors at this point... but I couldn't come up with a good reason not to if it's this cheap. Thanks for the notice... purchased.

I beleive you have postal forwarding services in Japan that can forward it to you from US. I use one myself.
I use Planet Express with an Oregon address for tax-free purposes. I checked the shipping quote and it’s still abouy $100. That’s still cheaper than Japan, so I think I’ll bite, but I’m also eyeing an LSR310s. It’ll be one or the other. I need info in my low end and HPs aren’t enough.
