Yes - it's the matching sub. Sub has balanced in to crossover, and then balanced out to monitors.

How better is the sound in this configuration? :)

I'm interested.

Sadly, the good deal isn't available in France.

Much better idea is a Canton subwoofer if you live in EU. You can adjust the phase between 0º and 180º and not only switch, very useful!

Canton AS 85.3 SC

The AKG K7xx family has plummeted in price and are now very attractively priced. They lightweight and very comfortable, in terms of sound I like the K712 best. At its original SRP it was a bit pricey but now it is lower mid level and well worth a punt.

Thanks to this site and companies making cheap good speakers, democratic Hi-Fi is on the way.
Still a expensive for a lot of people, but one day it might happen.

I honestly think it has been here for a long time. The bit that can still need careful thought is the speakers (or headphones) and even there you don't have to spend that much to access great sound. DACs are a commodity.

The JBL 1 Series 104 Compact Powered Desktop Reference Monitors are $71.10 at several retailers right now, including Amazon and jbl.com. I picked up a set for my desk at work.

It makes a huge difference in bass. The 305's already can reach semi-low on their own, but adding the LSR310s really makes a great combination. I have the first generation (LSR305 mk1) with the LSR310S as a near-field setup at my home-office desk, and it sounds fantastic. I find myself using this system for almost all of my listening now.

Fluid Audio makes an adjustable set:
https://www.zzounds.com/item--FLUDS5

K&M has a few different adjustable models, this is (I think) the entry-level version:
https://www.zzounds.com/item--KMS2677200

IsoAcoustics has numerous models, like this:
https://www.sweetwater.com/store/de...130-isolation-stands-for-studio-monitors-pair

Or there are mini -- but fixed -- stands like this:
https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/prod...pro_mb5ministand_mb5_mini_monitor_stands.html

And once you find a model you like, there's always eBay and Craigslist that might work for you.
