Master "deals" (massdrop, ebay, Amazon, etc.) Thread on Audio Product Sales

Perhaps I am late to the party.....

I notice products offered at Amazon USA now show a 'Price history' link for customers to access. The link offers a price history of up to the past 90 days and relies on Amazon's Rufus A.I. model to offer context.

There is a 'Price history' link for the Yamaha A-S501SL integrated amplifier just below the current $599.95 price at Amazon USA.

I don't see a 'price history' link. Are the words 'price history' in the link itself?

Here's a partial screen shot of what I see at Amazon USA - 'Price history' is the link itself and under the $599.95 price at the listing

I believe this is a great opportunity for anyone who wants to master DSP. You can ditch it after 3 months or buy a life-long license like me:

PS: I am in no way related to Roon and I am not going into how it rates as a music player suite but am aware they have the best DSP engine and UI in the market.

Would have never thought, that you use roon while you have developed your own room correctiom system :D

On Amazon Prime, the Dan Clark Noire X is on sale for $799 from the MSRP of $999 (which actually appears to have increased recently to $1099).

The seller is SKY by Gramophone in Maryland.

Apple 2025 MacBook Pro 1TB SSD and 16GB memory - $1549.99

Per Slickdeals,

Adorama in NYC is currently offering the Onkyo TX-RZ30 AVR for $749.99 after applying a $100 digital coupon at checkout.

as noted at Slickdeals,

Adorama in NYC is offering a 7.1 Jamo loudspeaker package in Black or 'Walnut' vinyl for $449 after applying coupon code at checkout.

The listing at Adorama mentions a 60-month warranty but the warranty link would not open for me.

Voxx International (Klipsch) announced on September 5, 2024 they had sold the Jamo brand and inventory to a joint venture in China. I am uncertain which (successor) company is responsible for a warranty claim on this package of loudspeakers.

Fractal Design Scape is on sale $139.99 on Amazon and would make a great gift:

These have stellar sound when you use the built in equalizer. They also have a great build in microphone with microphone noise cancelation/reduction. These are the only wireless headphones I have tested that I can recommend. They would be a great option for any gamers in your life, and might be a good gateway to the hobby. They pull way above their wait for sound. One of only three gaming headsets I have used I could recommend to people who also enjoy audio and video. The others being the Maxwells and PC38X.

I use the headphone shows eq profile:

His review is:

I actually got one for my spouse who only does wireless. I was happy enough with it to get one for myself.

Here's an obscure one, but the best portable speaker for the buck I have seen in quite a while. The $39 Bugani Brief Plus portable speaker is a dumb Bluetooth and Aux In speaker featuring a 4" woofer and two 2" tweeters with a downward firing passive and about 80 watts total power.

Black Friday priced at $39 in tungsten/black and $45 with coupon in mar-a-lago gold/black they have sold historically for $99.

What makes it a deal to me is the sound, frequency response is tuned very close to the BK curve on my Wiim, they sound near identical near field indoors except the Brief is a bit less bright. It maintains the balance at all volume except at the very highest. Very clear and well balanced on my bedside table. Its an audiophile tuning, perfect for what I listen to. In its nearfield spot it sounds significantly better than a $200 AudioPro C5a, a $150 Sangean WR-55, and even a JBL Authentics 200 I've had in the same place. It sounds world's better than the new $200 Echo Studio, (but I think almost anything does). I'd love to compare it to the new Wiim Sound Smart.

Downside, it has no features at all except for the line input. No app, no lights. Battery life is quite good and materials are very good. It does shut itself off after 10 minutes of no signal. The very loud hello and goodbye on start up and shut down are annoying. I feed it from a Wiim and for that it is near perfect. If you are looking for a cheap featureless speaker with quite good sound, it does that.

Can you combine 2 of them and use them in stereo?

They say you can link 100 of them in broadcast bluetooth but I do not think it is stereo, just synchronized. I do not think the broadcast feature works with the Aux input on the main speaker, just Bluetooth.

I have been hoping on a deal on a Topping DX5 II for BF/CM, but nothing so far--price has stayed at $299.99 on Amazon. I have been tracking SMSL DL100 & DL200 that have had some decent sales/price drops noted on camelcamelcamel, but it seems the consensus here is that the Topping is more reliable?

Members in Canada,

Linkplay has relocated their outlet store on Ebay to Canada and is currently offering a WiiM Pro for $135 CAD and WiiM Pro Plus for $200 CAD. These used samples are described as being in 'Like new condition'.

The listings say shipments to the USA are subject to an import fee.
