hm yea i was hoping for sources. I dont do well on philosophy

I think the original post there is more graphic novel than philosophy (no offence to graphic novel readers, I mean it in the sense of illustrated imagination) because 'judgement' isn't a function performed by LLM-based chatbots.

Here’s a good 15min dive into the parasitic nature of data centres and the communities they are situated in.

I’d rather listen to a Socrates or Plato self help a.i. than suffer at the mental expense of listening to self help guru nonsense from robbins and his ilk, imagine an a.i. version of Jordan Peterson twittering utter garbage on demand? ……..

Yay, all the grifters are here to make a quick buck from the AI hype.
Combined with the own nothing, subscribe to everything future this is awesome.

Indeed, leaning on 'AI getting good' an ex-pat South African YouTuber operating in New Zealand decided to necro noted Oz critter-botherer Steve Irwin re-imagined in basic blackface.

And yes people apparently think this Aboriginal avatar is a living person—despite stereotypical visual presentation and wildly unrealistic positioning of native critters in the frame. And no, living and dead people whose likenesses have been absorbed into the terrapixel maw to generate this high-gloss slop haven't given permission, and so on.

Edit to add some pix: tassie devils are known for their people skills and general cuddliness, and routinely munch on bones of extinct megafauna, thanks to 'AI getting good'.

Here's proof that AI models regurgitate copyrighted material.

What else should be expect from a probability based next word prediction system trained on the work of other people?

Bankcamp announced their new AI policy on Reddit - no music created entirely or substantially with AI, and no use of AI to impersonate anyone.

Ars coverage compares their situation with Spotify, and the grey area where artists are using AI as a tool in their creative process.

That's covering the music side, but what about videos? There's a bit here on the use of AI by a production company the band had used before, and their training of the AI on their previous content to help keep the 'house style.'

A search at Amazon USA for the Qudelix T71 'dongle' brought up instead a link to redirect me to Qudelix dot com.

When Amazon does not have an item in stock, it offers a beta feature to use their A.I. to find the item elsewhere.

With this feature, Amazon can capture transaction data for purchases outside their website.

Mem'ries may be beautiful and yet
What's too painful to remember
We simply choose to forget

So it's the low prices we will remember
Whenever we remember the way we were
The way we were

Six states in the USA (Arizona, New Jersey, Ohio, Oklahoma, Texas, Washington) are trialing a 6-year program bringing 'prior authorization' to traditional Medicare.

The program relies on A.I. and language learning models to assess the need the for select procedures, including knee arthroscopy and implanting an electrical nerve stimulation device.
