Stumbled on this new recording on Apple Music lossless.
The new record from the clarinettist Martin Fröst is called ” Night passages” .
This is my new reference in recordings with 24 bit 96 kHz . The sound is simply outstanding with a very big soundstage and a very natural timbre of the instruments. Martin has never played as good .

Highly recommended.

I guess this recording also can be found on TIDAL and Spotify. Please have a listen and vote :)

After starting to listen, I Googled it and this page showed up. It is an incredibly good album. Still, I have so many incredibly good albums, so I could never name a top five. I also can't say it isn't in the top 5, either.

I'm going to listen to that record. Out of pure curiosity I checked the dB database but the only thing I could find about Martin Fröst was this::)

What a combination, Bach, Chick Corea and Hugo Alfvén for example on that recording. But I like the mix. It was a really nice record! I'm listening to it now.:D

Im happy you liked it . I already knew that Fröst is an incredible good clarinettist, he has done some records for BIS before going to Sony , also with really good recording quality .

Yes, I got the BIS recordings first. I have been buying BIS albums online for eight years because they have some great artists and produce excellent recordings. I like buying direct from their e|classical website.

My wife and I listened to the album, I didn't finish the whole thing but she listened to it twice. It is quite interesting to say the least, even if not really my kind of music (due to such combinations of different artists).
It definitely does sound quite great though. Especially in MQA Master on Tidal, not as good through "Hifi" Tidal or Spotify as there are a few peaks in the tracks that can hurt w/ my Aeons (like the start of Track 11) and the middle of Track 10 just to name a few.
